Rescue Diver
Introduction
The CMAS Rescue Diver course will give you tools to deal with a wide range of diving emergencies, making you a better buddy. The CMAS Rescue Diver course is also one of the prerequisites for the CMAS leadership courses.
Course Information
The CMAS Rescue Diver Training Programme will teach you about the common causes of diving emergencies, how to avoid diving incidents/accidents, how to assist and/or rescue a diver during an emergency and how to manage diving incidents/accidents in an effective and efficient manner.
Course Requirements
To begin your journey as a CMAS Rescue Diver you must be at least 15 years old and be a certified CMAS Two Star Diver (or equivalent) and provide proof of a valid First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate. You must have logged at least 20 open water dives.
Also you must have a medical certificate that declares you medically fit to scuba dive by a certified physician that is not older than two years (or one year if you are older than 35).
